Context
Within a structured and continuously evolving data environment, we are strengthening our team by recruiting a Data Scientist. You will work on various analytical use cases within an established data team in an international context.
Strategic Challenges
To maintain its leadership in business intelligence, Altares is currently tackling four major challenges where Data Science plays a driving role:
Excellence of the Data Asset: With a global registry of 550 million companies, our primary challenge is the quality, reliability, and consistency of our data. It is the essential foundation of trust upon which all our clients' decisions are built.
Efficiency and Industrialization: In a logic of continuous evolution, we optimize our data processing to make it more efficient, robust, and automated.
Product & Business Convergence: Strengthening the link between technical expertise and business applications. The goal is to design Data products that accurately meet market needs and integrate seamlessly into our clients' daily operations.
Value Creation through Use Cases: Identifying and addressing high-value-added customers use cases. The challenge is to translate statistical complexity into concrete growth levers for finance and marketing departments.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist, you will contribute to the team’s data science initiatives, specifically:
Performing statistical and exploratory analyses on structured data.
Designing, developing, and evolving data science models.
Contributing to the production deployment and monitoring of your models to ensure industrial performance, reliability, and thorough documentation of processes.
Collaborating closely with Data Engineering, Product, and Business teams.
Presenting your findings in a clear and structured manner, including in English.
Technical Environment
Languages: Python and R
Data: SQL, Notebooks, Snowflake
Tools: Git, Data Visualization tools
Infrastructure: Cloud environment and industrial best practices
Job requirements
Candidate Profile
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in a scientific field, specializing in Mathematics, Data, or Statistics applied to scientific or business challenges.
Proven experience in Data Science (at least 3 years).
Proficiency in Python and R.
Practical experience in a Snowflake environment is highly appreciated.
Professional English – C1 level.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
Rigor, autonomy, and a strong sense of responsibility.
